In a sharp critique of the outgoing administration, Avdullah Hoti, a senior figure in the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has called for an urgent return to policy coordination with Albania. Hoti argued that the current government has neglected essential bilateral cooperation, opting instead for rhetoric over tangible results.

Key Criticisms of the Kurti Administration:

  • Institutional Stagnation: Hoti noted that joint government meetings have not been held in three years, halting progress in economic, educational, and health integration.
  • Infrastructure Failures: The proposed Prishtina-Durrës railway remains a theoretical project, with Hoti asserting that no physical progress has been made despite years of government promises.
  • Regional Interference: The LDK candidate accused Prime Minister Albin Kurti of intervening in the internal electoral processes of North Macedonia and Albania, a move Hoti claims has deepened divisions among the Albanian political factor rather than fostering unity.

"National integration is not built with patriotic slogans or social media posts," Hoti stated. "It is built with concrete projects, functional institutions, and measurable results."

Beyond the lack of cooperation with Albania, Hoti also raised concerns regarding the management of energy and agricultural sectors. He argued that the failure to establish an integrated energy system—combining Kosovo's capacity with Albania's hydroelectric potential—represents a significant missed opportunity for regional stability.
