The Parliamentary Committee for Elections and Appointments has unanimously endorsed Artin Islami and Feuzi Xhaferi as candidates for the Judicial Council of North Macedonia. The proposal received seven votes in favor, with no opposition or abstentions.

Bekim Qoku, a deputy from the VLEN coalition, presented the nominations. He emphasized that the professional experience and integrity of both candidates are essential to restoring public trust in the judicial system.

These two candidates were selected from a pool of seven applicants. The committee did not advance the other five contenders: Sabedin Dauti, Shpresa Dauti, Elvir Iseini, Fatmir Emrullai, and Fadil Xhelili.

This selection marks the third attempt to fill these positions. To officially join the Judicial Council, Islami and Xhaferi must now receive final approval from the Assembly during a plenary session.
