European Council President António Costa landed in Skopje this afternoon, marking a key stop in his ongoing regional tour of the Western Balkans. He was officially welcomed at the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timčo Mucunski.
Following his arrival, Minister Mucunski noted that the visit serves as a vital opportunity to exchange views on the nation’s European perspective. The discussions are expected to center on the national reform agenda and the necessary steps to advance the country's accession process.
Addressing Integration Challenges
The visit is seen as a strategic engagement aimed at accelerating North Macedonia's European path. Officials are expected to hold substantive discussions regarding the challenges currently facing the integration process and to reaffirm the commitment to regional stability and cooperation ahead of the upcoming EU-Western Balkans summit.
