Residents across North Macedonia should prepare for a week of volatile weather, according to the latest report from the Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR). While mornings will feature variable cloudiness and sunny intervals, the afternoons are expected to bring localized instability.

Key Forecast Details:

  • Storm Activity: Afternoon conditions will likely trigger heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong gusts of wind.
  • Wind Speeds: A moderate to strong westerly wind is expected, with speeds occasionally exceeding 60 km/h in the western regions of the country.
  • Temperature Ranges: Morning temperatures will hover between 9°C and 14°C, while daily maximums will reach between 24°C and 32°C.

In the capital, Skopje, the weather will remain mostly cloudy with sunny spells. However, residents should anticipate the possibility of short-lived downpours and thunder in parts of the valley during the afternoon hours, with temperatures peaking at 30°C.

Officials have highlighted that the instability will persist through the remainder of the week. Thursday and Saturday have been identified as days with a higher risk for more intense weather, including heavy precipitation and the potential for hail.
