PRISTINA, Kosovo — Border authorities at the Pristina International Airport "Adem Jashari" successfully intercepted a foreign national attempting to exit the country using falsified travel documents. The incident occurred early Saturday morning during routine passport control procedures.

Security Protocols in Action

During the verification process, officers identified inconsistencies in the security features of the passport presented by the individual. A secondary inspection confirmed that the document had been expertly altered, leading to the immediate detention of the traveler.

"The integrity of our border control systems remains a top priority. Our officers are trained to detect even the most sophisticated forgeries to ensure national and regional security," stated a spokesperson for the Kosovo Border Police.

Ongoing Investigation

The suspect is currently being held in custody while investigators work to determine the origin of the forged documents and whether the individual is part of a larger organized criminal network. Further legal proceedings are expected to follow in the coming days.
