Besnik Tahiri, a candidate for deputy representing the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has publicly denounced the Vetëvendosje Movement following a recent campaign event where a child was used to recite political slogans.

Tahiri specifically criticized the decision to have a child address Prime Minister Albin Kurti as "Albin baba" (Father Albin). He argued that such actions are not only inappropriate for political gatherings but also deeply offensive to traditional Albanian family values.

"The use of a child to recite a text that has no place at a political rally strikes at the core of our traditions," Tahiri stated. He further accused the Prime Minister of "extremely misusing" a minor for his own political narrative.

Beyond the ethical concerns regarding the child, Tahiri utilized the incident to launch a broader critique of Kurti’s leadership. He claimed that while the Prime Minister may encourage such titles, his administration has left the country diplomatically isolated.

According to Tahiri, Kosovo’s current state is "orphaned" due to strained relations with Albania and the international partners who were instrumental in the nation's independence. He concluded by accusing the Prime Minister of smiling while causing damage to the state's vital international alliances.
