In a recent appearance on Klan Kosova’s "Edicioni Special," Besnik Tahiri, a prominent Member of Parliament from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), launched a sharp critique of the government’s fiscal priorities. Tahiri argued that the current administration has failed to deliver on key promises throughout its mandate, including the long-delayed construction of public childcare facilities.

At the center of the dispute is the government's decision to distribute a 13th salary to specific public sector categories. Tahiri contends that the 63 million euros earmarked for this expenditure represent a missed opportunity for sustainable economic growth.

"Do you know what could be done with 63 million euros? It could have been invested in farmers, greenhouses, and small businesses," Tahiri stated. He questioned the logic of providing additional payments to the public sector while the country still faces significant challenges regarding the base minimum wage.

Tahiri emphasized that his opposition is not merely political, but a matter of genuine concern for the country's economic direction. He urged citizens to reflect on the government’s track record, suggesting that the current policy is more focused on political optics than on addressing the structural needs of the economy.
