In an appearance on the television program Rubikon on Klan Kosova, Lumir Abdixhiku addressed ongoing election rhetoric regarding social benefits. He explicitly denied allegations that the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) intends to abolish citizen allowances if elected to power.
Legal Security for Benefits
Abdixhiku stated that instead of being subject to the political will of individual leaders or specific governments, these allowances will be regulated by law. He emphasized that his party plans to increase the current support levels, aiming to provide long-term stability and security for citizens.
Focus on Economic Development
Beyond social support, the candidate stressed that the future of Kosovo depends on large-scale investment and concrete development projects. He argued that the country has moved past the initial phase of 'hope' and now requires a shift toward tangible economic progress.
"The state is not built on allowances alone, but on massive investments that Kosovo has not yet seen," Abdixhiku noted. He further promised a rigorous work ethic from his future cabinet, asserting that ministers will be expected to spend their time in the field rather than on social media.
