TIVAT, Montenegro — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski arrived in Tivat on Thursday to participate in the EU–Western Balkans Summit, a pivotal gathering aimed at deepening the integration between regional partners and the European Union.

The Diplomatic Agenda

This visit forms part of a broader diplomatic tour conducted by European Council President António Costa, who has spent the preceding days meeting with leaders across the Western Balkans. The summit in Tivat serves as a platform for discussing the future of the region within the European framework.

"At the EU–Western Balkans Summit in Tivat I will present the initiative with which we aim to strengthen regional cooperation," Mickoski stated via his official communication channel prior to his departure.

Looking Ahead

While the specific details of the Prime Minister’s proposal remain under review by regional partners, the initiative is expected to address key infrastructure and economic integration themes. The outcome of these discussions will likely influence the regional agenda for the remainder of the year as North Macedonia continues to navigate its path toward European integration.
