Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has extended an open invitation to protesters who gathered in Tirana to demonstrate against tourism projects in the Zvërnec region. In a social media post, the Prime Minister proposed a public dialogue with a delegation of up to 20 representatives to address concerns regarding transparency, foreign investments, and environmental protection.

While offering a platform for discussion, Rama addressed the protest with a mix of irony and firm political resolve. He criticized the use of personal insults directed at his family members during the demonstrations, insisting that family matters should remain outside the political discourse.

"If this is your vision for protecting nature and for the 'Albania of Albanians,' I sincerely wish you luck, because you will need it," Rama remarked. He contrasted his government's focus on economic growth and the goal of European Union integration by 2030 with what he termed the "political waste" that has opposed his administration for years.

Rama concluded by drawing a clear line between his duties and the opposition's actions. He stated that if the protesters choose to decline the invitation for dialogue, he will continue his work as Prime Minister, while the protesters remain free to continue their public demonstrations.
