In a celebration of history and education, First Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Izet Mexhiti, participated in an event at the "Ismail Qemali" primary school in the Municipality of Chair. The occasion, held on International Children's Day, featured a commemorative program and the unveiling of a new mural honoring Ismail Qemali, the historic figure who proclaimed Albania's independence.
The school courtyard served as a venue for students to showcase their creativity, blending historical remembrance with modern artistic expression. The mural aims to provide younger generations with a visual connection to the national identity and the values of the past.
"This mural is more than just a piece of art," Mexhiti stated during the event. "It is a lasting reminder of the figures who shaped our history and an inspiration for the younger generations who are growing up with the values of knowledge, identity, and love for their homeland."
The event highlighted the symbolic link between the nation's heritage and its future, as the students' performances underscored the importance of integrating historical awareness into the modern educational experience.
