Tetovo was filled with color and laughter on June 1st, as the city hosted a major event to commemorate International Children's Day. The celebration featured performances by local kindergarteners, highlighting the importance of the youngest members of society.
Mayor Bilall Kasami attended the festivities, emphasizing that investing in children is the most significant public and political commitment. "We are creating better conditions in the environments where they spend most of their day, alongside investments in infrastructure, schools, sports, and cultural facilities," Kasami stated.
Fatlinda Jahja, director of the "Rinia" kindergarten, stressed that the well-being of children requires a continuous partnership between institutions, educators, and parents. The event, which was supported by the "Litera" Academy, served as an opportunity to discuss children's rights and their future development.
International Children's Day, first established in 1950, remains a significant date in the region. Traditionally, it serves as a reminder to prioritize the rights, happiness, and holistic growth of children through collaborative community efforts.
